MURFREESBORO, N.C. – As Conference Carolinas enters its second season sponsoring football since 1975, the Chowan University football program is set to make an appearance at the second annual Conference Carolinas Football Media Day, held July 21-22 at the Hyatt Regency Greenville in Greenville, S.C.
The two-day event will bring together coaches, student-athletes, and media members from around the conference to preview the upcoming 2026 football season. Representing the Hawks will be head coach
Paul Johnson, redshirt junior wide receiver
Luke Krall, and senior defensive back
Antwone Godley.
Entering his fourth season at the helm of the Chowan football program, Johnson will be joined by Krall, a Greenville, S.C., native who enters his second season with the Hawks. The redshirt junior wide receiver made an immediate impact during his first season in Chowan's offense, recording 22 receptions and a touchdown while also contributing a 15-yard passing touchdown. A versatile playmaker, Krall brings a strong football IQ, quickness, and the ability to create opportunities for the Hawks' offense.
Also representing Chowan will be senior defensive back and 2025 First Team All-Conference selection
Antwone Godley, a native of Washington, N.C. Godley enjoyed a breakout season in 2025, making an impact on both special teams and defense. He appeared in nine games, totaling 266 kick return yards, including an 82-yard touchdown return, while recording three interceptions, 22 interception return yards, and 17 tackles.
Known for his explosiveness, speed, and playmaking ability, Godley enters his senior season as one of the leaders on the Hawks' defense as Chowan looks to build on the momentum of its second season in Conference Carolinas football.
