MURFREESBORO, N.C. – Throughout the 2024-2025 Chowan Athletic season, the Chowan Athletic Department will feature the Ace Hardware Student-Athletes of the Week.

For the week of March 15th - 20th, Reed Low from the CU men's lacrosse team and Ben Bausas from the baseball team have earned honors for their efforts on their respective teams during the past week of play.

Reed Low | Sophomore | #9 | Attack | Men's Lacrosse | Edmonton, Canada

Reed Low has been named the Chowan Athletics Ace Hardware Player of the Week for his performances on the field. A key offensive contributor, Low has been one of the Hawks' top scorers this season.

On March 15th, he led the attack against Emmanuel with a dominant five-goal performance, registering 10 shots, nine of them on target. He followed up with another strong showing on March 19th, scoring two goals and adding three assists in the Hawks win over Virginia State. Low recorded eight shots in the match, with seven on goal. 

Ben Bausas | Senior | #2 | Right-Handed Pitcher / Utility | Baseball | Virginia Beach, Va. 

Senior baseball player Ben Bausas has been named the Chowan Athletics Ace Hardware Player of the Week for his performance on the diamond this week. In the Hawks' 9-7 victory over Kutztown, Bausas went 3-for-4 at the plate, driving in three runs and hitting a double. He also scored a run and contributed defensively at second base, turning two double plays.
