NORFOLK, VA – The Chowan University men's golf team completed final round play on Tuesday at the Virginia Wesleyan Marlin Invitational. The Hawks moved up a spot from 7th to 6th after impressive performances by Justin Peterson, Noah Stewart, and Jacob Kearney on day two. Peterson carded an eagle on the 537-yard 14th hole at Cypress Point Country Club.
The Hawks cut 11 shots (310) off their day one total (321) to finish up in 6th place in the 11-team tournament. William Peace University finished in the top spot after shooting 610 over two rounds (+17).

INSIDE THE SCORE CARDS
Justin Peterson finished today's round +2 (74). He carded three birdies and an eagle in the round, helping to propel the Hawks to the 6th place finish. Peterson finished the tournament tied for 17th with teammate Jacob Kearney. Kearny finished up with 78-79 while Stewart shot 82-78 over two days to finish +12. Parker Brooks shot 79-80 over two rounds. Bryce Bennett finished up 81-82 while teammate E.J. Proctor finished up 84-88 over two rounds.
