MURFREESBORO, N.C. - The Chowan University Department of Athletics and the CU volleyball program are set to host their annual Dig Pink Cancer Awareness match on Friday, October 17th, 2025. The Hawks will host King University in a Conference Carolinas match with first serve set for 6:00pm. Fans are encouraged to wear pink or another color that represents a cancer fight in a show of support.

There will be contests and giveaways over the course of the evening with any dollars raised benefiting the Side-Out Foundation- a foundation started to support cancer research and cancer patients nationwide. 

The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be "pinking" out the lobby of the Hawks Athletic Center where fans can  make cancer bracelets and participate in other cancer awareness activities. 

Fans can participate in several in-game contests for a chance to win prizes. Student participants will have opportunities to win Hawks Bucks.
