BRISTOL, TN. – At the King University Invitational, the Chowan University golf team showcased a strong performance, finishing tied for 5th with a two round score of 567 (+7). The tournament saw King University and Tusculum University dominate, both ending at 551 (-9). Chowan's Jacob King fired a day two low round of 64 to claim medalist honors in the tournament. King's low round of 64 on Tuesday is a new low round for the men's golf team, besting a record formerly held by Cliff Forbes ('12) and Jordan Francis ('17) by 4 strokes.Â

Leading the way for Chowan was Jacob King, who fired an impressive 71-64 to finish tied for first overall with a total score of 135 (-5). His second round, a blistering 64, showcased his exceptional skill and resilience on the course.
Matthew Herberger also made a significant impact for Chowan, finishing tied for fifth with a score of 137 (-3). Herberger shot a stellar 65 in his opening round, setting the tone for a strong tournament.
