MURFREESBORO, NC - The Chowan University Hawks volleyball team fell to North Greenville at the Hawks Athletic Center in Murfreesboro, NC on November 1, 2024. The Hawks are now 4-18 overall and 2-13 in Conference Carolinas. The Trailblazers move to 13-13 overall and 10-4 in conference.

The match unfolded with the opposing team dominating early on, as the scores for the first three sets read 11-25, 15-25, and 19-25. Anna Holcombe led with 13 kills and 11 digs, along with a singular block. Other notable players were Alyssa Thompson with 6 kills and Lyniah Lee, who contributed both in kills and digs.

Touches over the net were also critical, with Kori Rippen, Lee, and Jada Caruthers contributing to team blocks. The match also saw effective backcourt defense with Diana Rodriguez fetching 17 digs, supporting the team from the rear. Jadyn Brown not only added in defense but also served 3 aces. The assists column was bolstered by Alexandra Liggeri who accounted for 10 assists, followed by Sydney Ginaitt and Rodriguez.
