AUSTIN, TEXAS – The accolades continue to roll in for Chowan Men's Lacrosse standout, Eric George, as the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced their 2022-23 Academic All-America At-Large teams on Wednesday.
Eric George, a junior from Stony Plain, Alberta, Canada, earned CSC First Team Academic All-American honors. George posted a 3.96 GPA in his undergraduate studies in Sport Management. George adds the Academic All-American selection to his credentials after being named Conference Carolinas First Team, Conference Carolinas Spring Scholar Athlete of the Year, and CSC Academic All-District this season.
George posted 55 goals and 27 assists this season to net 82 points to tie for the team lead. George led the Conference Carolinas in goals and points this season.
The Academic All-American selection marks the third this season for Chowan and first for the Chowan Men's Lacrosse program. Eric George joins Harri Lovett (Men's Soccer) and Raydarius Freeman (Football) to earn the distinction for the Hawks this season. George joins the short list in Chowan history becoming one of six Chowan student-athletes to be named Academic All-American.
