GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Chowan Men's Golf team sit in eighth after the opening round of the Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Championship at the Preserve at Verdae on Sunday afternoon.

THE SCORECARDS
Mika Buchholtz led the Hawks with an 80 in the opening round. Buchholtz would find his groove on the second nine with a one-over section.
Jaxon Eck and Tyler Darnell carded an 85 as Eck posted one birdie, while Darnell posted two birdies.  Patrick Sullivan rounded out the scoring with an 87 and Ruben Gamez-Aranda notched an 89.
