GAFFNEY, S.C. – The Chowan Baseball team saw two late inning rallies thwart their attempt of a season opening victory as the Hawks were dealt a pair of losses on Saturday afternoon against Limestone in non-conference action.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Game One: Chowan 0, Limestone 9
Game Two: Chowan 4, Limestone 5
Chowan would open the scoring in the top of the first inning as Geomar Santana hit a single before moving to second on a wild pitch. Jackson Dunlap picked up a two-out walk before Santana and Dunlap came around to score on Noah Evington's double. Caleb Karie grabbed an RBI single to plate Evington to push the lead to 3-0.
Aidan Feather doubled to start off the third inning and would come around to score on Noah Evington's sacrifice fly to extend the lead to 4-0.
Limestone rallied in the sixth inning as three hit-by-pitches led to bases loaded. An error in the inning allowed a pair of runs to score along with a ground out cut the deficit to 4-3.
The Saints finished off the comeback with three straight base hits to score the walk-off win in the bottom of the seventh, 5-4.
