KINGSPORT, TENN. – The Chowan Men's and Women's Swimming programs wrapped up their 2022-23 season with a strong final day of the Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships on Saturday.

INSIDE THE LANES
Andres Martijena secured a Second Team All-Conference selection, while Aleksei Belolipetskii added a Third Team All-Conference nod.
Four school records were altered on the final day.
FINALS
200 Back:
Andrew Simmons broke the school record in the 'B' Final with a time of 2:05.97. Igor Proszynski finished with a time of 2:10.01.
Erica Mock finished 14th overall with a time of 2:16.96.
100 Free:
Aleksei Belolipetskii swam to a Third Team All-Conference selection with a NCAA 'B' Standard and school record time of 45.01. Jan Gastal (45.32) and Robert Liz Cabrera (45.34) posted the second and third fastest times in program history in the event.
Ashley Mayes finished just off the school record time with a seventh place finish and a time of 53.98. Aislinn Kessinger posted the fifth fastest time in program history with a time of 54.75.
200 Breast:
Andres Martijena broke his own school record in the event with a Second Team All-Conference selection and a time of 2:01.52. Fabrizio Infante posted the third fastest time in program history with a time of 2:09.45.
Hiba Laknit posted the third fastest time in program history with a time of 2:27.56.
1650 Free:
Briana Wilson finished 12th overall with a time of 19:49.75.
400 Free Relay:
The relay of Fabrizio Infante, Aleksei Belolipetskii, Robert Liz Cabrera, and David Clark swam to a school record and sixth place finish with a time of 3:07.24.
Erica Mock, Ashley Mayes, Briana Wilson, and Aislinn Kessinger finished eighth overall with a time of 3:43.62.
