KINGSPORT, TENN. – The Chowan Men's Swimming team swam to three school records in Thursday's session of the Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships including three podium finishes.

INSIDE THE LANES
Aleksei Belolipetskii became the first Chowan men's swimmer to earn a Conference Carolinas Championship with his swim in the 200 IM. Jan Gastal earned Third Team All-Conference in the 200 IM.
Robert Liz Cabrera would break the school record in the 50 Free in the prelims and broke it again in the finals. Fabrizio Infante finished closely behind Cabrera in the event.
The 200 Free Relay for the men would break the school record and finish second overall to earn Second Team All-Conference honors.
FINALS
500 Free:
Igor Proszynski would finish 15th overall with a time of 5:05.83.
200 IM:
Aleksei Belolipetskii recorded a NCAA 'B' Standard time on his way to a Conference Championship swim with a time of 1:49.59. Jan Gastal finished with a Third Team All-Conference selection with a time of 1:52.03.
50 Free:
Fabrizio Infante would take back his school record with a time of 20.75 to finish just off the podium with a fourth place finish. Teammate, Robert Liz Cabrera touched sixth with a time of 20.85 for a personal best time.
Ashley Mayes notched a time of 24.60 to finish eighth overall. Aislinn Kessinger posted a time of 25.17, sixth best time in program history, to finish 13th overall.
200 Free Relay:
Aleksei Belolipetskii, Robert Liz Cabrera, Jan Gastal, and Fabrizio Infante swam to a Second Team All-Conference selection with a school record time of 1:23.01.
Erica Mock, Arriel Quant, Aislinn Kessinger, and Ashley Mayes finished fourth in their heat and eighth overall with a time of 1:43.17.
PRELIMS
500 Free:
Briana Wilson posted a time of 5:49.02 for the women, while Igor Proszynski finished with a time of 5:13.22 for the men.
200 IM:
Jan Gastal broke his own school record time after finishing second in his heat with a time of 1:53.73.
Aleksei Belolipetskii would break Gastal's record in the third heat with a time of 1:51.69. Ericka Mock posted a time of 2:20.85, sixth best in program history during the event.
50 Free:
Robert Liz Cabrera would break the school record in the event with a time of 20.89. Fabrizio Infante would improve on what was the school record time with a 20.94. Brayden Conboy posted a personal best time of 26.48, while Tristan Stinson (29.39), Dakota Reynolds (30.64), and Hesley Masara (42.65) swam for the men.
On the women's side, Ashley Mayes led the Hawks with a time of 24.46. Aislinn Kessinger clocked a time of 25.18. Hiba Laknit (26.50), Arriel Quant (27.46), Meghan Allen (27.58), and Sreshta Puducheri (55.76) competed for the Hawks.
