KINGSPORT, TENN. – During the prelims, the Chowan Men's Swimming team posted three school record times while seven Hawks qualify for the event finals on Thursday evening.

PRELIMS
500 Free:
Briana Wilson posted a time of 5:49.02 for the women, while Igor Proszynski finished with a time of 5:13.22 for the men.
200 IM:
Jan Gastal broke his own school record time after finishing second in his heat with a time of 1:53.73.
Aleksei Belolipetskii would break Gastal's record in the third heat with a time of 1:51.69. Ericka Mock posted a time of 2:20.85, sixth best in program history during the event.
50 Free:
Robert Liz Cabrera would break the school record in the event with a time of 20.89. Fabrizio Infante would improve on what was the school record time with a 20.94. Brayden Conboy posted a personal best time of 26.48, while Tristan Stinson (29.39), Dakota Reynolds (30.64), and Hesley Masara (42.65) swam for the men.
On the women's side, Ashley Mayes led the Hawks with a time of 24.46. Aislinn Kessinger clocked a time of 25.18. Hiba Laknit (26.50), Arriel Quant (27.46), Meghan Allen (27.58), and Sreshta Puducheri (55.76) competed for the Hawks.
