CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association released their CIAA Football Players of the Week for Week #4 on Tuesday afternoon.

For the third straight week, the Hawks have placed a defensive player on the list with this week being Burnico Perofeta being named Linebacker of the Week.

Perofeta, junior from Fayetteville, N.C. led the team with a career-high 13 tackles in the 21-7 victory over Winston-Salem State.  Perofeta along with the entire defense held the Rams to 164 yards of total offense allowing just 2.5 yards per play.
