CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association announced their CIAA Football Players of the Week for Week #3 on Monday afternoon.

Caleb Pierce and Jamae Blank were selected as CIAA Players of the Week for Week #3.  Pierce was named CIAA Quarterback of the Week and Rookie of the Week, while Blank was named CIAA Defensive Lineman of the Week.

Caleb Pierce, in his debut, was efficient going 14-18 for 237 yards and two touchdowns.  Pierce also added 65 yards on the ground.  Pierce became the first true freshman to win in his debut and only the second Hawk to win a game as a true freshman.

Jamae Blank, earning his first CIAA Weekly honor, notched a career-high 11 tackles including 2.5 TFLS and a sack.  Blank's pressure was felt on the day registering a couple of quarterback hurries.
