ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Golf team finished tied for sixth in their first tournament of the year during the Don Scalf Invitational at Belmont Lakes GC on Sunday and Monday.

INSIDE THE SCORECARDS
Tyler Darnell paced the Hawks with a top-10 finish after tying for 10th posting 75-75 in the tournament. Jaxon Eck started off the tournament with a 74 before recording a 78 in the final round to finish t-16.
Bryce Simms and Patrick Sullivan carded 80s in round one. Simms improved with a 79 in the final round, while Sullivan finished with an 86.
Adam Lankford started off his Chowan career with an 81 in the opening round before finishing with an 86. Michael Smith carded a 90 in the opening round before improving with an 86 in the final round.

Chowan will return to the course on October 3-4 at the St. Andrews Invitational.
