FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA. – The Chowan Baseball team dropped a pair of league games to Emmanuel on the road on Saturday afternoon.

Joshua James and Carrington Williams collected two hits each in the twinbill. Williams notched a triple.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Game Two: Chowan 4, Emmanuel 12
Chowan worked out of a pair of jams in the first two innings before Emmanuel found the scoreboard in the bottom of the third to plate three runs to lead 3-0.
The Hawks rallied in the top of the fourth as Dallas Trevena drew a walk and moved to second on a failed pickoff attempt. Trevena came around to score on Patrick Krack's RBI double. Krack moved to third on a failed pickoff attempt before scoring on Tyler West's single to cut the deficit to 3-2.
Emmanuel countered with six runs off six hits in the bottom of the fourth to extend their lead to 9-2. The Lions tallied three more runs in the fifth to lead 12-2.
James Cottingham led off the sixth with a single before coming around to score on Ethan Robinson's double to trail 12-3.
Carrington Williams led off the seventh inning with a triple. Noah Cartwright reached on an error allowing Williams to trot home to cut the deficit to 12-4.
Game Three: Chowan 4, Emmanuel 6
Noah Evington led off the contest with a single before Tyler West drew a walk. Evington and West moved up a base on a ground out before Evington scored on Emanuel Betancourt's ground ball. Carrington Williams singled to plate West to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead.
The Hawks manufactured a run in the second as Joshua James singled to lead off the second. Ben Bausas produced a sacrifice bunt before James stole third. Ty Johnson doubled home James to lead 3-0.
Emmanuel would get on the board in the bottom of the second to cut the deficit to 3-1. The Lions used the long ball in the third to even the contest at 3-all.
Chowan rallied in the fourth to regain the lead as Joshua James singled and moved to second on a wild pitch. Ben Bausas picked up a single to plate James to take a 4-3 lead.
The Lions posted three runs in the eighth inning to take the contest 6-4.
Chowan had a chance in the top of the ninth as Ethan Whelan singled and Joshua James and Ben Bausas drew walks to load the bases with one out. A strikeout and a fly out ended the threat.

Chowan returns home to take on Francis Marion in a three-game league series with a single game on Friday, April 15. First pitch is slated for 3pm.
