MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Baseball team rallied against the Tornado before being swept in Conference Carolinas action against King on Saturday afternoon.

Tyler West, Patrick Krack, and Ty Johnson paced the offense with two hits each. West hit a double and a home run to go with four RBI and two walks.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Game Two: Chowan 7, King 9
King opened the scoring in the top of the first inning scoring three runs off two hits and three walks.
The lead would not last long as the Hawks rallied in the bottom of the first inning. Patrick Krack picked up a single up the middle before Ty Johnson drew a walk. Tyler West belted his tenth home run of the season on the second pitch he saw over the left field fence to even the score at 3-all. Ryan Bellamy and Aidan Palacious picked up singles to continue the rally. The Hawks would leave the pair in scoring position.
The Tornado used a pair of walks and a single in the second inning to regain their lead 4-3. King opened up their lead in the top of the fifth scoring three runs on three hits and an error to lead 7-3.
Chowan promptly responded in the bottom of the fifth as Ty Johnson singled up the middle before coming around to score on Tyler West's double to center. Ryan Bellamy drew a walk and Caleb Karie was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Ethan Whelan singled to right to plate a run before Joshua James recorded a RBI walk. Patrick Krack singled to right to plate the tying run, 7-all.
King regained the lead in the sixth with a solo home run before adding a run in the seventh to lead 9-7.
Chowan would load the bases in the bottom of the seventh as Caleb Karie drew a walk. Dallas Trevana singled down the left field line and Patrick Krack was hit by a pitch to load the bases. A high bouncer would be snagged off the mound for the final out of the contest.
Game Three:
The Tornado starting pitcher held the Hawks at-bay for the first five innings as Ben Bausas recorded a hit by pitch and a single for the lone base runners.
Jarret Henderson worked around jams until the fifth inning allowing a lead-off home run. King would add a pair of runs in the sixth inning to lead 3-0.
Dallas Trevena, Patrick Krack, and Tyler West drew walks in the sixth to load the bases but was unable to scratch across a run.
King took advantage of the free passes in the seventh inning scoring seven runs off three hits and four walks to lead 10-0.
In the bottom of the seventh inning, Carrington Williams opened the inning working a full-count walk. Williams would come around to score as Christian Allen sent a single through the right side of the infield and made its way all the way to the fence after the misplay by the right fielder. Allen would score on a wild pitch to close the gap to 10-2.
