MURFREESBORO, N.C. – In the final regular season meet for the Chowan Men's and Women's Swimming programs, the Hawks picked up the win against Conference Carolinas foe, King, on Saturday for senior day.
Seven seniors were honored prior to the meet: Jeleah Delancy, Erin Garza, Marissa Mann, Shaine Olmstead, Lucas Pels, Kyle Sheridan, and Anquniece Wheeler.

INSIDE THE LANES
200 Medley Relay:
The women's team posted a time of 2:09.15 to finish second. Erica Mock, Jeleah Delancy, Ashley Mayes, and Atar Idrissi swam for the Hawks.
Andrew Simmons, Marshall Stevens, Shaine Olmstead, and Christian Oleaga posted a time of 1:53.34 for second place as King touched just .04 before the Hawks.
400 Free:
Briana Wilson finished second overall with a time of 5:06.64. Igor Proszynski took the top spot for the men with a time of 4:16.94.
50 Back:
Erica Mock would finish first for the Hawks with a time of 33.29. Anquniece Wheeler finished third overall with a time of 35.47.
Christian Oleaga (30.15) and Andrew Simmons (30.25) finished second and third respectively.
50 Breast:
Erin Garza finished second overall with a time of 39.63. Jeleah Delancy (39.90) and Arriel Quant (40.24) finished out the event for the Hawks in fourth and fifth place.
Marshall Stevens (31.45), Lucas Pels (31.51) and Kyle Sheridan (42.55) finished second through fourth in the event.
100 Fly:
Ashley Mayes took the top time in the event after touching the wall at 1:04.19. Marissa Mann finished third overall with a time of 1:13.77.
Shaine Olmstead finished first for the Hawks with a time of 1:00.06. David Clark picked up a third place finish.
50 Free:
Jersey Razzano and Atar Idrissi finished third and fourth respectively in the event.
Fabrizio Infante picked up the win in the event with a time of 24.44. Marshall Stevens and Andrew Simmons finished third and fourth overall.
100 Free:
Ashley Mayes picked up another top time with a time of 1:03.01 beating out teammate Atar Idrissi for the top spot. Jeleah Delancy finished fifth overall.
David Clark (58.11) and Marshall Stevens (59.28) finished third and fourth respectively.
100 Back:
Erica Mock took the top time for the Hawks with a first place finish with a time of 1:10.75.
Christian Oleaga finished second for the Hawks with a time of 1:06.51. Andrew Simmons finished third with a time of 1:06.67.
100 Breast:
Erin Garza posted the top time for the Hawks with a second place finish finishing with a time of 1:24.11. Arriel Quant (1:30.17) and Jeleah Delancy (1:33.03) finished behind Garza.
Fabrizio Infante (1:07.55) and Lucas Pels (1:08.13) finished in the top-two spots in the event for the Hawks.
50 Fly:
Ashley Mayes and Marissa Mann finished in the top-two spots. Shaine Olmstead and David Clark followed suit for the men with the top-two finishes.
100 IM
Erica Mock and Marissa Mann finished 1-2 in the event. Erin Garza picked up a fourth place finish.
Fabrizio Infante picked up a second place finish while Lucas Pels and Christian Oleaga finished fourth and fifth.
200 Free Relay:
Chowan finished second overall for the women as Anquniece Wheeler, Atar Idrissi, Briana Wilson, and Arriel Quant touched at 2:06.41.
For the men: David Clark, Shaine Olmstead, Fabrizio Infante, and Lucas Pels picked up the win with a time of 1:43.80.

Chowan will take the next two weeks to prepare for the 2021-22 Conference Carolinas Swimming Championships on February 17-19 in Kingsport, Tenn.
