CARY, N.C. – The Chowan Men's and Women's Swimming programs posted numerous school records and program top-10 times at the Pacer Invitational over the weekend.

INSIDE THE LANES
The men's program broke 12 school records over the weekend including three relays.
Jan Gastal broke three individual school records in the 200 Free, 200 IM, and 100 Fly
Andres Martijena posted a NCAA "B" standard time in the 100 Breast, school record. Martijena broke the school record in the 200 Breast as well.
Aleksei Belolipetskii broke two individual school records in the 200 Fly and 100 Free
THE RESULTS
400 IM:
Andres Martijena finished second overall in the event with a time of 4:25.88, second best time in program history.
Briana Wilson posted a time of 5:15.98 in the event, marking the fourth best time in program history.
200 Free:
Jan Gastal finished first in the prelims with a school record time of 1:42.34. Gastal would improve the school record in the finals with a time of 1:41.27 to finish first overall. Igor Proszynski finished with a time of 1:54.10.
Aislinn Kessinger posted the seventh best time in program history with a time of 2:05.17. Atar Idrissi would finish with a time of 2:07.98.
100 Back:
Igor Proszynski posted the fifth best time in program history with a time of 58.55. Proszynski would move to fourth in program history in the finals with a time of 58.08.
Christian Oleaga touched the wall at 59.66, while Andrew Simmons finished with a time of 59.83. Oleaga improved his time in the finals with a time of 57.55. Simmons improved to 58.43 in the finals.
Erica Mock posted a time of 1:04.76, while teammate Ashley Mayes finished with a time of 1:06.82. Mock improved her time with a time of 1:03.89 in the finals.
100 Breast:
Andres Martijena recorded a school record in the prelims with a time of 56.39. Martijena shattered the school record in the finals with a NCAA "B" standard time to win the finals with a time of 54.06.
Fabrizio Infante tallied a third best time in program history with a time of 58.64. Infante improved his time in the final with a time of 58.33.
Marshall Stevens finished with a time of 1:04.39.
Hiba Laknit touched the wall at 1:10.03 to post the fourth best time in program. Laknit touched sixth in the finals with an improved time of 1:08.66.
Arriel Quant finished with a time of 1:18.97.
50 Free:
Fabrizio Infante improved his school record with a time of 21.29. David Clark finished with a time of 23.19, with Christian Oleaga touching at 23.31 and Andrew Simmons at 24.37. Marshall Stevens touched at 25.46 and Brayden Conboy finished with a time of 30.50 for a personal best.
Aislinn Kessinger finished with a time of 26.03 in the prelims. Kessinger improved her time in the finals with a time of 25.97. Briana Wilson touched the wall at 27.93, while Arriel Quant finished with a time of 28.94 in the prelims.
200 Fly:
Aleksei Belolipetskii posted the second best time in program history with a time of 1:59.41 with a fourth place finish. Belolipetskii would break the school record in the finals with a time of 1:57.32 to finish second overall.
200 Free Relay:
The men would get off to a strong start as Jan Gastal posted the second fastest time to lead-off with a time of 21.35 to lead the Hawks to a fifth place finish and a time of 1:27.63.
The women finished sixth overall with a time of 1:44.67.
400 Medley Relay:
The men's team broke the school record in the event with a time of 3:26.66 as Jan Gastal, Andres Martijena, Aleksei Belolipetskii, and Fabrizio Infante swam for the Hawks to place second.
The women posted a time of 4:11.60 to finish seventh overall.
200 Medley Relay:
The quad of Christian Oleaga, Andres Martijena, Aleksei Belolipetskii, and Fabrizio Infante finished third overall on their way to a school record in the event with a time of 1:35.16.
The women finished sixth overall with a time of 1:52.34.
200 IM:
Jan Gastal finished first overall in the event with a school record time of 1:54.29. Gastal posted a time of 1:56.43 in the prelims. Andres Martijena finished seventh with a time of 2:00.28, third best time in program history.
Hiba Laknit finished with the fifth best time in program history touching the wall at 2:19.80 in the finals after posting a time of 2:21.03 in the prelims.
100 Free:
Aleksei Belolipetskii finished first in the event with a time of 46.52 in the finals. Belolipetskii posted a school record time of 46.42 in the prelims.
Aislinn Kessinger finished 14th overall in the finals with a time of 56.56. Kessinger posted the eighth best time in program history with a time of 56.19 in the prelims. Atar Idrissi posted a time of 58.79.
200 Back:
Erica Mock posted a time of 2:18.55 in the finals after posting a time of 2:20.51 in the prelims.
Igor Proszynski posted a school record time of 2:06.42 to finish seventh in the finals. Andrew Simmons posted a time of 2:08.54 to finish 11th.
200 Breast:
Hiba Laknit finished fifth in the finals with the fourth best time in program history of 2:31.74 to improve on her prelim time of 2:32.37.
Andres Martijena posted the top time in the finals with a school record time of 2:02.24. Fabrizio Infante finished fourth with a time of 2:10.71 to post the third best time in program history.
100 Fly:
Ashley Mayes finished third in the finals with a time of 57.16 after posting a time of 58.48 in the prelims.
Jan Gastal finished second in the finals improving his school record time of 50.81. Gastal posted a school record time 51.07 in the prelims.
500 Free:
Briana Wilson notched a time of 5:42.62 in the event.
400 Free Relay:
The women finished with a time of 3:51.62 to finish sixth overall.
The men finished third overall with a school record time of 3:09.95.
