ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Golf team finished third at the NCWC Don Scalf Invitational with a final round 317 on Monday at the Belmont Lake Golf Club.

ON THE COURSE
Graham Cowan paced the Hawks with a t-12 finish after posting a 77 on the opening day and wrapping up with a 79. Cowan tallied 13 pars on the afternoon.
Bryce Simms finished t-14 improving by one stroke from the first round to finish with an 80. Simms notched one birdie and eight pars in round two.
Patrick Sullivan went low for the Hawks in round two with a 78 coming home with a 37 on the back nine to go with one birdie and 11 pars. Sullivan recorded an 86 in round one to finish t-20.
Tyler Darnell started his Chowan collegiate career with a 26th place finish posting 88-80. Jaxon Eck finished t-27 with 83-86.
Michael Smith posted a round of 81 with two birdies to close out his tournament.

The Hawks will compete in a one day tournament next Monday at the Sleepy Hole Invitational hosted by the Apprentice School on September 27.
