HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan enters the contest on a two match winning streak picking up sweeps against Southern Wesleyan and Converse over the weekend. The Hawks improved to 8-20 overall under first year head coach Vanessa Faircloth.
Anixa Rosa-Martinez leads the Hawks with 299 kills while Madison Hall has 200 kills and Anamarie Colon-Calero has posted 121 kills.
Natalia Vega-Aponte has 636 digs on the season with Hadley Prince totaling 269 digs. Anamarie Colon-Calero has 46.0 total blocks on the year, while Chloe Putnam and Nyah Powers have posted 36.0 and 30.0 total blocks respectively.
HALTING THE BRONCOS
Fayetteville State is 19-6 on the season and on a six match win streak. Da'Nesha Miller leads the team with 227 kills, while Kalee Vanderhorst has 178 kills.
The Broncos have recorded 175.0 total blocks this season with Xiamana Spikes (69.0) and Ashlyn Bradley (63.0) leading the way.
PREVIOUS MEETINGS
Fayetteville State swept the Hawks back in early September in Murfreesboro. Chowan holds a 16-9 overall record against the Broncos with the majority of the meetings occurring within CIAA play.
