MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Volleyball team takes on Barton and Francis Marion in a Conference Carolinas weekend.  The Hawks will host Francis Marion on Saturday for Senior Day.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS

Chowan continues to fight in matches despite their 4-19 overall record and 1-11 mark in league play.

Anixa Rosa-Martinez leads the Hawks with 233 kills while Madison Hall has 145 kills and Ellie Middleton has 100 kills.  Middleton has produced 72 kills in the month of October, while Hall has registered 76 kills.

Natalia Vega-Aponte has 501 digs on the season with Ellie Middleton recording 244 digs.  Anamarie Colon-Calero has 36.0 total blocks on the year, while Madison Hall and Chloe Putnam have posted 25.0 total blocks each.

LEASHING THE BULLDOGS

Barton has a 7-12 overall record and a 4-9 mark in Conference Carolinas action.  The Bulldogs are led by Allison Gambill with 189 kills.  Caroline Schoonover and Lily Haaga has 109 and 104 kills respectively.

Barton took the last meeting 3-0, but was a highly competitive contest.

TAKING ON THE PATRIOTS

Francis Marion enters the weekend with a 16-9 overall record and a 12-1 record in league play.  The Patriots are coming off their first loss in league play against Mount Olive snapping a 12 match win streak.

Six Patriots have over 100 kills this season led by Gracie Davis with 234 and Lexi Albright with 204 kills.
