MURFREESBORO, N.C. – As Fall Break has arrived on the Chowan campus, the weekend is jam packed with Chowan Athletic events.

Swimming:

The Chowan Men's and Women's Swimming team hosts Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday at 1pm.  The meet will be the first of five home meets this season.

Football:

The Chowan Football team will look to rebound off a pair of losses when the Hawks make the short drive through the swamp to take on Elizabeth City State on Saturday.  The Hawks, now 5-2 overall and 2-2 in CIAA play are scheduled to kick-off at 1:30pm.

Cross Country:

The Chowan Men's and Women's Cross Country team hits the road to compete in the 2021 Conference Carolinas Cross Country Championships on the campus of Mount Olive on Saturday, October 23.

Arina Karbolina will run for the final time as a Hawk and will be honored before the championship.

Women's Soccer:

The Chowan Women's Soccer team travels to Due West, S.C. to take on Erskine in a Conference Carolinas clash on Saturday.  Kick-off is slated for 10am.  The Hawks are 3-9-1 on the season and 3-6-1 in league play.  Chowan is coming off a 1-1 draw against Barton.  The Hawks are sitting in seventh in the league table.

Men's Soccer:

The Hawks take to the road against Erskine in a league contest.  Chowan and Erskine did not play in the Spring and will be the first meeting in 2021. The Hawks, ranked fourth in the region, sport a 9-2-1 overall record and a 7-1-1 mark in league play.  The men are sitting 0.5 match back in the league standings behind Francis Marion.

Volleyball:

Chowan has a lighter weekend coming up as the Hawks will travel to Belmont Abbey to take on the Crusaders at 2pm.  The Hawks are coming off a tough 3-1 loss to Mount Olive during the week. Chowan is 4-17 on the season and 1-10 in league play.
