MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's and Women's swimming teams fell to Catawba on Senior Day to close out the regular season.

INSIDE THE LANES
200 Medley Relay:
In the first event of the evening seniors Ashley Hernandez, Sarah Hull, Megan Reid, and Keitra Lloyd finished second with a time of 2:08.83 in their senior relay.
The men lead by James Cameron, Garrett Kirkland, Taylor Woodard and Igor Proszynski would fall to Catawba in a close one with a final time of 1:54.77.
800 Free:
Atar Idrissi claimed the top time for Chowan in the event finishing in third with a time of 10:34.22. Keitra Lloyd and Marissa Mann followed to finish fourth and fifth respectfully.
Igor Proszynski would finish with a time of 9:09.15 to take second place.
200 Free:
Freshman Julia Stegmaier took second place in the event with a final time of 2:18.12. Teammate Grace Arredondo finished the scoring for the Hawks with a time of 2:21.84.
Justin Lough finished three seconds off of first place with a time of 2:04.64. Andrew Simmons, Marshall Stevens took the final spots for the Hawks.
50 Free:
Senior Ashley Hernandez, edged out teammate Jasmine Gibson by .04 to take second in the event. Megan Reid would round out the scoring for the Hawks.
David Clark would set a new personal best at home with a time of 25.10. James Cameron and Jordan Walker would have times of 25.25 and 27.01.
200 IM:
Zorey Sargent produced a home pool record and secured a first place finish with a time of 2:29.40.
Lucas Pels finished in second with a final time of 2:23.93
100 Fly:
Marissa Mann would be the only Hawk to finish in the top three with a time of 1:14.62.
Taylor Woodard almost got it done for the Hawks as he missed a first place finish with a time of 1:01.08.
100 Free:
Grace Arredondo came in second by only .09 separating her from first with a time of 1:04.20.
Jordan Walker with a time of 1:00.82 would give him a new personal best as he pushed into second for the Hawks.
100 Back:
Senior Ashley Hernandez finished third in a tight race with only seconds separating her from first with a time of 1:14.31.
Lucas Pels finished third with only .67 seconds separating him from second place with a final time of 1:04.73. David Clark and Andrew Simmons touched the wall with times of 1:05.55, 1:08.98 respectfully.
400 Free:
Igor Proszynski took second in the event with a time of 4:16.77
100 Breast:
Julia Stegmaier finished second with a time of 1:17.77, while senior Sarah Hull finished with a fifth place time of 1:31.00.
Marshall Stevens and Taylor Woodard could not get it done as they would finish second and third with times of 1:12.78 and 1:15.08.
200 Free Relay:
In the final event of the evening with a time of 1:55.79 Julia Stegmaier, Jasmine Gibson, Zorey Sargent and Grace Arredondo would bring home second to finish off the regular season for the Hawks.
On the men side David Clark, Justin Lough, Lucas Pels and James Cameron took a close second with a time of 1:40.17
