MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Lacrosse team started off the season with a win against Shorter over the weekend.  The Hawks look to continue as the travel to Hartsville, S.C. to face Coker on Wednesday, February 6.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan picked up the 14-12 victory over Shorter on Saturday to start the season 1-0 for the second straight season.

Alex Clabaugh led the team with five goals and three assists in the win.  Jason Jenkins II and Quintin Bender tallied three goals each.

COKER COBRAS
Coker finished off the 2018 season with a 7-8 overall record.  The Cobras defeated the Hawks in the last meeting 12-11.

Chris Hagy and Ethan Irizarry lead the Cobras after being named to the Preseason All-South Atlantic Conference team.  Hagy recorded 135 saves on the season, while Irizarry netted 27 goals.
