MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's Lacrosse team starts off the 2019 season with a road trip to Rome, Ga. to face the Shorter Hawks.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan finished the 2018 season with an 8-8 overall record in the second year of the program.  Chowan defeated Shorter last season 13-10.

Noah Holloway and Alex Clabaugh return as the leading scorers after the departure of Anthony Alfonso and Nick Lavoy to graduation.  Holloway tallied 24 goals and 25 assists, while Clabaugh posted 34 goals and 11 assists.

THE OTHER HAWKS
Shorter finished with a 1-13 record in 2018 and lost their last 10 contests to end the season.

Chase Rogers returns as the leading scorer for Shorter with 16 goals and nine assists.
