MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Volleyball team faces off against Mount Olive and Belmont Abbey in another split weekend competition as the Hawks travel to Mount Olive and host Belmont Abbey.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
The Hawks are 4-18 on the season and 1-12 in Conference Carolinas action heading into the weekend.
Chowan has fought in their last couple matches but have been on the short-end with six straight defeats. The Hawks are led by Anixa Rosa-Martinez, Hannah Sladick and Ciara Ortega the past couple matches recording double-doubles along the way.
Anixa Rosa-Martinez leads the offense with 227 kills and 281 digs. Hannah Sladick has produced 138 kills this season, while Ann-Marie Johnson has 133 kills and 61 total blocks.
Ciara Ortega has 561 assists on the year and recorded a double-double in digs as the freshman has 166 digs. Katie Houston leads the defense with 428 digs, sixth all-time in a single season.
AVOIDING THE TROJAN HORSE
Mount Olive is 7-13 on the season and 3-9 in league action. The Trojans have won the last two matches.
Starr Sergent and Amara Eziakonwa leads the team with 174 and 172 kills respectively. Jimnelly Del Valle leads the defense with 308 digs.
CAPTURING THE CRUSADERS
Belmont Abbey enters the contest with a 15-12 overall and 10-2 in league action. The Crusaders are coming off their first home loss of the season which snapped a six match winning streak.
Cassidy Bonito leads the Crusaders after recording her seventh triple-double of the season as a setter. Bonito has 754 assists on the year with 169 kills and 247 digs.
Mackenzie Chrapliwy leads the team with 271 kills, while Andie Meredith is second on the squad with 215 kills.
