HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan snapped their losing streak with a 3-1 win over Elizabeth City State on Wednesday to move to 4-12 on the season. The Hawks are 1-8 in Conference Carolinas action this season.
Anixa Rosa-Martinez leads the Hawks with 151 kills this season. Rosa-Martinez has posted six double-doubles this year and comes off one with 11 kills and a career-high 27 digs.
Sydney Hiner has 101 kills on the year, with Hannah Sladick posting 88 and Ann-Marie Johnson with 87. Hiner is second on the team with 233 digs behind Katie Houston with 309 digs. Johnson has 43 total blocks this season.
Ciara Ortega has notched 411 assists.
TRIUMPHING OVER THE TROJANS
Mount Olive is 4-11 on the season and winless in league play with a 0-7 record. The Trojans also snapped a modest losing streak after a five set win over Fayetteville State this week.
Amara Eziakonwa paces the team with 123 kills. Starr Sergent is just behind with 119. Jimnelly Del Valle has 211 digs this season. Alyssa Jackson has 43 total blocks.
KNOWING THE CRUSADERS
Belmont Abbey enters the contest with an 11-11 overall record and is 6-1 record in league play. The Crusaders will host Barton on Friday evening.
Mackenzie Chrapliwy leads the Crusaders with 219 kills this season. She also has 43 service aces.
Paige Rawlins paces the team defensively with 295 digs, while Hailey Ryan and Chrapliwy have over 200 digs each.
