MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Men's and Women's Tennis teams will be in action on Friday and Saturday in their final contests of the season as the Hawks host Southern Wesleyan and North Greenville respectively.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Women's Tennis
Chowan clinched a share of the Conference Carolinas Regular season title after cruising to back-to-back sweeps of Lees-McRae and King over the weekend. The Hawks improved to 15-3 on the season and perfect 9-0 in league play.
Although being in a new conference, the Hawks have won 65 straight league matches including their last 56 in CIAA action.
Angelique Gouin is 9-0 in league play at No. 6 as Polina Novachuck, reigning Conference Carolinas Player of the Week, Victoria Smolchenkova, and Lenka Styblova sit with an 8-1 mark in league play in singles action.
Men's Tennis
Chowan sits with a 10-7 overall record and a 6-2 mark in Conference Carolinas play picking up three straight wins. The Hawks weathered the storm against King in a 5-4 victory to keep pace in the league sitting tied for third with two losses.
Ghassan Alansi paces the team with a 6-2 mark in league competition in singles play. Alansi and partner Adi Kaliakperov post a 4-2 mark in doubles play.
THE OPPONENTS
Southern Wesleyan is 7-9 overall and 4-5 in league play on the women's side. On the men's side, the Warriors are 6-12 and 2-6.
On the men's side for North Greenville, the Crusaders are tied with the Hawks at 6-2 in league play and has an 8-8 overall record. The Crusader women are 2-13 on the year and 1-8 in league play.
