Women's Lacrosse
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan is 0-2 on the season after falling to Embry-Riddle and Mount Olive to open the season.
Alexandria Hammonds leads the team with four goals. Heather Orell and Misten White has produced two goals each this season. Hammonds leads the team with 10 draw controls.
Emily Bush is 0-2 in goal this season picking up 19 saves and 14 ground balls.
BULLDOG BITES
Wingate opened the season with a loss to SCAD-Savannah last weekend.
Kendall Wells and Casey Roux lead the Bulldogs with three goals each. Emily Ketron scored the other two goals for Wingate.
Arion Pierre allowed 13 goals against SCAD but saved 18 shots.
Men's Lacrosse
HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
Chowan is off to a strong start as the Hawks are 2-0 in their second year of the program. Chowan picked up wins against Shorter and Embry-Riddle to start the year.
Nick Lavoy leads the Hawks with eight goals. Anthony Alfonso (5g, 2a) and Noah Holloway (4g, 3a) have produced seven points each.
DJ Walker and Zach Mueller are 1-0 in goal this season. Walker had a strong showing at Embry-Riddle stopping 12 shots and only allowed three goals.
COBRA FACTS
Coker enters the contest with a 0-1 record after falling to North Greenville last weekend, 12-6. Coker finished the 2017 season with a 4-10 record.
The Cobras defeated Chowan last season 16-7. Ethan Irizarry leads the Cobras with two goals. Coker is 6-22 in the face-off department.
