HAWKS PROFILE
Chowan finished the regular season picking up a 3-2 win over Virginia Union to finish with an 11-16 overall record. The Hawks and Panthers tied for the No. 2 seed in the Northern division with VUU taking the extended tiebreakers with a +2 point differential.
Milica Vejnovic and Courtney O'Keefe pace the Hawks with 204 and 193 kills each.
Alyssa Born leads the CIAA with 425 digs on the season. Sydney Hiner sits in third in the CIAA with 296 digs. Micayla Pope leads the CIAA with 754 assists.
TAMING THE BRONCOS
Fayetteville State is riding a five match win streak to propel them into the No. 2 seed in the Southern Division. The Broncos have a 14-11 overall record and posted a 14-4 CIAA record.
The Broncos would pick up their five wins in a row against the Southern Division including knocking off the divisional leader, Shaw.
The trio of Bojo Jada, Diamond Holmes, and Teeya McLean lead the pack with 186, 180, and 177 kills respectively.
SEASON MEETING
Chowan defeated Fayetteville State in straight sets on September 8 in Petersburg, Va. The Hawks would win 25-23, 25-22, 25-22 in a closely contested match.
