Chowan battled on Saturday against UNC Pembroke before ultimately falling 3-0 to move to 4-9 on the season. The Hawks are 4-4 in CIAA action and 1-0 in the Northern division.
Kayla Gates is closing in on 100 kills for the season sitting with 93. Courtney O'Keefe had the hot hand on Saturday posting 13 kills to climb to 83 on the season.
Sydney Hiner paces the team with 24 service aces.  Micayla Pope has posted 326 assists on the season, while Alyssa Born has 175 digs this season.
VIKINGS VIEWÂ
Elizabeth City State is 2-14 on the season and 2-8 in CIAA action. The Vikings are 2-1 in the Northern division after picking up their first two wins of the season on Sunday.
Jahera Dangerfield leads the team with 103 kills registering 2.02 kills per set.
SERIES HISTORY
Chowan is 18-7 all-time against Elizabeth City State and winners of eight straight against the Vikings. The Hawks are 8-3 on the road against ECSU with their last loss coming in 2010 in a five set defeat.
