MURFREESBORO, N.C.-The Chowan Men's and Women's Swim team opens their 18-19 season on the road to face Howard on Saturday. The women will begin their third year of the program, while the men will kick off their inaugural season.

Chowan starts the season against Division I Howard University in a dual meet on Saturday. The women wrapped up the 17-18 campaign with a 4-4 overall record and placed third
last season at Conference Carolinas Championships.
The Hawks return one individual all-conference swimmer
AnnMarie Spiker, who produced a personal best in the 200 Breastroke with a time of 2:30.06.
Senior,
SheAyre Bowles returns with Sophomore
Grace Arredondo, who looks to pace Chowan in the 400 Free Relay for another podium finish.
Last season, Chowan beat Howard after posting 85 points on the day.
On the men's side, the Hawks welcome freshman,
Shaine Olmstead who will look to take on the distance events for the Hawks competing in the 500 freestyle.
Teammate,
James Cameron will hit the lanes for the sprinting events. Florida native,
Lucas Pels will gear up for the 100 and 200 Breaststroke for the Blue and White while,
Trace Austin looks to shine in the 100 and 200 Butterfly.
