MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Volleyball team travels to Elizabeth City, N.C. to face Elizabeth City State in a cross-town rivalry match in CIAA play on Thursday.

HAWKS PROFILE
Chowan is coming off a 1-2 weekend in CIAA play picking up their first win of the season against St. Augustine's in the opening match of the CIAA Round-Up.  The Hawks will look to right the ship against the winless Vikings.

Brittany Tschida, Courtney O'Keefe and Sydney Bell lead the Hawks with 40+ kills each.  Tschida leads the pack with 49 kills.  Bailey Zavala paces the defense with 148 digs on the season and second in the CIAA.

ABOUT THE VIKINGS
Elizabeth City comes into the contest with a 0-11 mark on the season and 0-3 in CIAA play.
Jahera Dangerfield leads the Vikings with 31 kills.  Dangerfield also leads the squad with 48 digs.
ECSU is averaging 4.87 kills per set and 6.6 points per set.

THE LAST MEETING
Chowan won picked up both wins last season in straight sets fashion.  The Hawks made quick work of the Vikings the last time in Elizabeth City with 25-11, 25-10 and 25-6 set victories.
