Box Score TIGERVILLE, SC - The Chowan University men's lacrosse team suffered an 18-12 set back to North Greenville University in Conference Carolinas action on Saturday afternoon. Freshman goal keeper
Markis Harrison posted a season high 28 saves in the net for Chowan and
Anthony Alfonso, Jr. scored a team-high four goals.
The Hawks out scored the Crusaders 10-6 in the second half but they were unable to overcome the 8-2 halftime deficit. North Greenville out shot the Hawks 63-20 in the match. Chowan picked up 21 ground balls to the Crusader's 49.
Leading the way offensively was Alfonso with four goals.
Noah Holloway scored three goals and handed out an assist while
Jacob Mitchell also found the net three times.
Nick Lavoy posted two scores and handed out three assists in the conference loss. Lavoy upped his season goals to 32 on the year and his season assists to 16.
The Hawks will take a week's break before hitting the field again when they travel to Limestone College for a 1:00pm match up. They will return to Hawks Field on Friday, April 14th to host Lees McRae College in a 1:00pm match.
