MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Volleyball team travels to Virginia State for the outright CIAA Northern Division Title. With the win the Hawks would claim the Northern Division, with a loss they would have a share of the title.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
The Hawks enter the match with a 13-11 overall record and an 8-0 record in the CIAA Northern Division.
Brittany Tschida leads the team with 169 kills, with Courtney O'Keefe (144), Makayla Castro (138), and Kayla Gates (133) following.
Karisa Patterson earned CIAA Volleyball Player of the Week last week after posting the program's first ever triple double in a non-conference match against St. Andrews. Patterson leads the CIAA with 684 assists.
Bailey Zavala achieved the 1000 career digs mark in the match against St. Andrews. Zavala leads the CIAA with 401 digs on the season.
ABOUT THE TROJANS
Virginia State comes into the contest with a 10-13 overall record and a 7-1 Northern Division record with their lone loss to the Hawks. VSU is 4-5 this season at home but 4-2 in league play.
Jailyn Ivey leads the Trojans with 200 kills on the season.
LAST MEETING
The Hawks picked up the 3-2 decision in the last meeting on October 5. Chowan won the first set before VSU took a 2-1 lead winning the second and third sets 26-24, 25-23 respectively. The Hawks would bounced back with a 25-17 win in the fourth to push it to a decisive fifth set. The Hawks would win the set 15-9.
