MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Chowan Volleyball team steps back into CIAA Northern Division play as the Hawks host Elizabeth City State on Thursday, October 12.

HAWKS HIGHLIGHTS
The Hawks enter the match with a 8-10 overall record and 7-3 in CIAA play with a perfect 4-0 Northern Division record.

Brittany Tschida, Courtney O'Keefe, and Makayla Castro has eclipsed the 100 kill mark this season.  CIAA Rookie of the Week Kayla Gates sits with 98 kills on the season.  Tschida leads the squad with 33.0 total blocks.

Karia Patterson achieved 1000 career assists in her short career with the Blue and White as the senior has dished out 508 assists this season.  Patterson also leads the team with 42 service aces.

Bailey Zavala paces the Hawks with 282 digs while Alyssa Born has 138 digs.

ABOUT THE VIKINGS
Elizabeth City is 2-18 on the season with a 2-8 CIAA record and 2-2 in divisional play.  The Vikings are searching for their first win in their last six matches.

Jahera Dangerfield leads the Vikings with 77 kills on the season.

LAST MEETING
Chowan defeated Elizabeth City in straight sets on the road on September 21.  Kayla Gates led the team with 10 kills.
