GAFFNEY, SC- The Chowan University women's swimming team competed against Limestone College on Friday afternoon. The Saints scored 95 points over the course of the competition while holding the Hawks to 68 points.
In the 200 yard medley,
Kjahna O,
Sarah Hull,
SheAyre Bowles, and
Keitra Lloyd finished in second place with a time of 1:59.49. Lloyd followed up with a second place finish in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:08.07.
Kenya McCray took home a first place finish in the 50 yard freestyle. She posted a winning time of 25.06 among the five-swimmer field. Bowles followed in fourth place at the 25.89 mark with Hull in fifth with a time of 30.28.
Julia Chmielewska finished in first place in the 200 yard IM. She posted a winning time of 2:14.73. Lloyd posted a third place finish in the 200 yard IM with the 2:28.25.
McCray finished the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 53.87. She posted a second place finish in the three-swimmer field. O scored three points for the Hawks in the 500 yard freestyle. She finished in third place at the 5:31.35 mark.
Hull finished in second place in the 200 yard breaststroke. She posted a time of 3:00.96. The 400 yard freestyle relay team of Bowles, O, Chmielewska, and McCray posted a time of 3:40.22.
The Hawks return to action on November 5
th as Chowan travels to take on Converse College. Start time is slated for 12pm.
