Box Score FAYETTEVILLE, NC - The Chowan University volleyball team's season came to an end Saturday after Shaw University handed the Hawks a five set loss in semi-final action at the 2015 CIAA Volleyball Tournament. The Lady Bears outlasted Chowan in the final set 15-9 to take the win and advance to the finals of the tournament which will be played on Sunday in Fayetteville. 

Shaw took the first set of the match 25-17 but Chowan bounced back to take the second and third sets 25-21 and 25-9 respectively. Shaw evened the match at 2-2 after taking the fourth set 25-22. Shaw outlasted the Hawks 15-9 to down the Hawks and take the win. 

Suraya Chase led the way for Chowan with 13 kills. Morgan Spencer tallied 12 kills while Cindy Ehrich had 21 digs. Shaw's Kelly Murphy tallied a match-high 23 kills. 

Chowan ends the season at 18-8 overall while Shaw improves to 21-10. The Lady Bears will play the winner of the Winston-Salem State University and Virginia State University match Sunday in the CIAA Championship match.
