Box Score LINCOLN, PA- The Chowan University women's soccer team suffered a 1-0 setback at the hands of The Lincoln University Lady Lions on Sunday afternoon. The Hawks slip to 0-2 with the loss while the Lady Lions improve to 1-0-1 with the win.
Chowan mustered four shots in the contest with Kimberly Young and Morgan Klein tallying shots on goal for the Blue and White. The Lady Lions had 12 shots, five on goal in the win.
Marissa Ghani made four saves in goal for the Hawks. Keepers Christian Harris and Emily Woodruff each made one save for Lincoln to contribute to the shutout victory.
Dena Ingraham scored a goal for the Lady Lions off Tara O'Brien's assist at the 14:31 mark in the first half. The Lady Lions held on to the momentum through the duration of the contest and kept the Hawks off the board to secure the victory.
Chowan returns to action on September 12th when they travel to Limestone College. Game time is slated for 7:00pm in Gaffney, South Carolina.
