Box Score WILMINGTON, DE- Led by three goals from freshman Terell Williams, the Chowan University men's soccer team used a strong second half to earn a commanding 6-2 win over Goldey-Beacom on Saturday afternoon. The Hawks improve to 1-1 with the victory while the Lightning start their season 0-1.
After battling to a 1-1 draw in the first half, the Hawks pulled away in the first 16 minutes of the second half to gain a 4-1 advantage they never relinquished. Williamson scored two of his three goals during the spurt.
The Lightning trimmed the margin to 4-2 in the 62nd minute when freshman forward Fernando Sanchez tallied the first goal of his college career off an assist from freshman midfielder Manuel Berto.

Christian Funes upped the Hawks' lead to 6-2 after a restart pass from freshman midfielder

Making the first start of his college career, freshman goalkeeper Marcus Arrvidsson made two saves for the Lightning.

Carlos Ramirez each posted two saves for the Hawks. The Lightning out-shot Chowan by a 15-10 margin, including a 10-3 edge in the first half, but the second half momentum carried the Hawks to the 6-2 win.
Jordan Radisavljevic chipped in two goals in the win for the Hawks while Funes had four assists for the Blue and White.
Chowan returns to action on September 7
