Box Score MURFREESBORO, NC- The Chowan University men's soccer team picked up their third straight win on Friday evening with a 3-1 victory over the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. The Hawks move to 3-1 on the year while the Mountain Cats slip to 0-2 after the loss.
Chowan had 26 shots in comparison to 14 by the Mountain Cats.
Marco Lujan made four saves in goal for the Hawks while Nate Kleya collected 10 saves for the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
Terell Williamson scored all three goals for the Hawks, with all three scores occurring in the first half.
The first two goals were both headers into the far post off assists from
Brandon Myers while the third came after a breakaway and assist from
Francisco Ferrus.
AJ McNary put the Mountain Cats on the board using Matt Kinney's assist to push the ball past Lujan's diving save attempt.
Chowan returns to action on September 16
th when they host Belmont Abbey. Game time is slated for 4:00pm on Hawks Field.
