MURFREESBORO, NC- The Chowan University women's tennis team earned their fifth win of the season on Thursday afternoon with a 9-0 rout of Elizabeth City State University.  Every Hawk in the lineup earned a victory in both singles and doubles competition.  The Lady Vikings failed to win a single set in the loss.  Chowan improves to 5-4 with the win and remains perfect in CIAA play with a 2-0 mark.  Elizabeth City State falls to 0-2 overall and in conference play. 
 
Holly Stambaugh and Natalya Kamenshchikova teamed up to defeat Jamilia Foster and Tyra Spell to start at the match.  Teams Natalia Andrade/Breanne Johnson and Jennifer Humphrey/Straffai Cleveland both blanked their opponents 8-0. 
 
Kamenshchikova, Johnson, Stambaugh, Jessica De Backre, Andrade and Cleveland all swept their opponents to propel the Hawks to the 9-0 victory. 
 
Chowan returns to action on March 6^th when they host Virginia State University.  Match time is slated for 3:00pm.
