MOUNT OLIVE, NC- The Chowan University women's tennis team dropped a 6-3 decision to the University of Mount Olive on Thursday afternoon. The Hawks slip to 3-3 on the season after the loss while the Trojans improve to 5-1 after the victory.

Holly Stambaugh teamed up for an 8-6 victory over Francesca Ceppi and Roxanne Chouinard in doubles competition. Doubles teams

Jennifer Humphrey took 8-2 and 8-4 losses against their opponents respectively.
Kamenshchikova topped Ceppi in singles competition while Stambaugh earned a 6-4, 6-1 win over Chouinard. Johnson, De Backre, Andrade, and Cleveland all fell in close matches resulting in Mount Olive earning the 6-3 win.
The Hawks will be back in action on Saturday when they host Bowie State University in their first CIAA match of the season. First serve is slated for 1:00pm.
