GREENVILLE, SC- The National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association announced their selections for the 2014 NCCAA All-American First, Second, and Honorable Mention Football Teams on Tuesday afternoon. Chowan University's
Kemaree Alcorn earned NCCAA All-American Second Team recognition.
The redshirt freshman is a native of Virginia Beach, Virginia. He collected 31 tackles this season for Chowan (20 solo, 11 assisted) including eight tackles for loss (36 yards). Alcorn collected two sacks (20 yards), had one forced fumble, one quarterback hurry, and one blocked kick.
His top performance was against Virginia Union University. In the Hawks' 40-29 loss to the Panthers, Alcorn totaled eight tackles (five solo, three assisted), had two sacks, 3.5 tackles for loss, and blocked a kick. He competed in nine games for the Blue and White this season.
The Hawks ended their season with a 2-8 overall record and finished 1-6 in CIAA play.
