Box Score MISENHEIMER, NC- The Chowan University men's soccer team suffered a 3-1 setback at the hands of Pfeiffer University on Monday afternoon. The Hawks slide to 5-4 on the year with the loss while the Falcons improve to 7-3.
Chowan mustered nine shots in the contest in comparison to 23 by Pfeiffer.
Marco Lujan made five saves in goal for the Blue and White while Nicolas Dulac made one save for the Falcons.
The Falcons took control early in the contest with a goal in the first four minutes of play. Jorge Buzzo scored his first goal of the season for Pfeiffer when he sent Roberto Soares' cross into the top right corner of the net. Pfeiffer tacked on another goal in the 38
th minute when Soares used a cross from Nathan Regis to score into an open net.
The Hawks answered back in the 80
th minute of play.

Terell Williamson to send the ball into the right post, making the score 2-1.
With five minutes left in the contest, Jaime Siaj scored into an open net using Regis' cross to solidfy the 3-1 victory for the Falcons.
The Hawks look to recover on October 9
th when they compete against Ferrum College. The contest is slated to begin at 7:00pm in Ferrum, Virginia. Chowan returns home on October 11
th to take on Piedmont College at 12:00pm.
