Box Score LAURINBURG, NC- The Chowan University volleyball team picked up two nonconference wins on Saturday afternoon.  The Hawks topped West Virginia Tech University 3-0 and defeated St. Andrews University 3-0 to improve to 18-5 on the season. 

In the first match, Chowan cruised to 25-11, 25-12, and 25-14 set victories against the Golden Bears.  Melanie Chausee led the effort with 11 kills while Brittany Tschida added 10 kills and six blocks (three solo, three assisted).  Cindy Ehrich hauled in 15 digs for the Blue and White.  Allison Smith had 29 assists in the win and powered the Hawks behind a 10-0 serving run.

Chowan topped St. Andrews 25-13, 26-24, and 25-23 in the second contest of the day.  Fults had 11 kills in the win while Chase and Chausee added 10 apiece.  Allison Smith notched 42 assists while Ehrich tallied 29 digs.  The Hawks overcame an 18-13 deficit in the third set to earn the 25-23 victory.
