Box Score COLUMBIA, MD- The Chowan University men's soccer team earned a 5-1 win over Washington Adventist University on Friday afternoon. The Hawks improve to 8-5 with the victory while the Shock slips to 6-6-1 after the setback.
Terell Williamson scored a hat trick in the victory. His first goal came off a penalty kick in the 19
th minute of play. Williamson scored again in the 31
st minute using
Jordan Radisavljevic assist from 10 yards out.
Williamson secured the hat trick with score in the 51
st minute of the contest. The goal was unassisted and was his 15
th of the season.
Barkan Koeprueluegil used an assist from Williamson and
Raul Dominguez in the 26
th minute and Radisavljevic added a score off
Christian Funes' corner kick to help lead the team to victory.
The Shock responded in the 77
th minute using Ryan Senior and Eric Sierra Marreo's assist but it was not enough to overcome the deficit.
Marco Lujan made two saves in goal for the Blue and White. Jordhon Horelien made eight saves for Washington Adventist. Chowan outshot the Shock 22-9 in the victory.
The Hawks return to action on October 19
th when they travel to compete against William Peace University. The contest is slated to begin at 3:30pm.
