Box Score MURFREESBORO- The Chowan University women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to The Lincoln University on Sunday afternoon at Hawks Field.  The Hawks slide to 1-10 on the year with the loss while the Lady Lions improve to 5-5-1 with the victory. 

The Lady Lions had 14 shots in the first half while the Hawks added four of their own, but both teams were unable to find the back of the net. 

In the 56^th minute of play, Taylor Brookins scored a goal into the far post using Christian Harris' assist.  With a 1-0 edge in the 68^th minute of play, Tara O'Brien's service allowed Harris to send the ball into the near post for Lincoln.  Despite an additional six shots in the second half, the Hawks were unable to overcome the deficit and suffered the 2-0 loss. 
The Hawks had 10 shots on the afternoon, led by Emily Cross who had three shots (two on goal).  The Lincoln University had 24 shots over the course of the contest. 

Marissa Ghani made five saves for the Blue and White while Emily Woodruff made six saves for the Lady Lions. 

Chowan returns to Hawks Field on October 14^th.  Game time is slated for 4:30pm against Coker College.
