Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 CHARLESTON, WV - The Chowan University volleyball team dropped two tough matches in opening day play at the University of Charleston Invitational on Friday afternoon. The Hawks dropped their opening match 3-0 to Cedarville University and then followed that up with a 3-0 loss to the host team, UC. 

Chowan fell with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, and 25-22 to Cedarville. The loss dropped them to 1-1. 

The Hawks stumbled in their night cap match to UC, losing 25-20, 25-16, and 26-24. Cindy Ehrich tallied 10 digs for Chowan and Nikki Fulton led the way with six kills. 

Chowan will play Virginia Union at 11:00am and Mars Hills at 1:00pm to wrap up the two-day tournament.
